The school offers supervised study in the school canteen each day after school.

Break times are 5:30 to 5:40/3:00 to 3:10

The cost is €100 per student per term. Term 1 runs from September to Week 10 exams, term 2 up until Week 20 exams and term 3 runs to the end of the year.

The school also offers the option of Friday afternoon study only. This study session also runs from 1:45 to 4:30 and the cost for the year is €60 per student, payable in three instalments of €20.

Students who wish to attend can get a form from Ms. Concagh, Deputy Principal and return it with the money to Anne Henry, finance secretary. Alternatively students can pay on the vsware app. Please contact the school for log in details if you have not already received them.

The purpose of supervised study is to provide a silent environment conducive to work. In the interests of all students and to avoid unnecessary disruption the following rules apply for the duration of study.

  • Students are expected to attend on time.
  • Students are expected to bring all books/texts/materials to study and to avoid borrowing or moving around to get books from other students.
  • Mobile phones should be switched off for the duration of study.
  • Please leave iPods and MP3 players at home.
  • Students who arrive late, or wish to leave study early, must present a note, with written parental permission, to the supervisor.

Students who persistently breach these rules may be removed from study.
