Community Involvement

Community Involvement

TY involvement in fundraising for the various and ever changing needs in our community and society creates an awareness among our Transition year students about community issues and concerns. Vincent De Paul, Alzheimers, Autism, and Rape Crisis Centre, Pink Ribbon are some of the areas which are highlighted and who benefit from the endeavours of our Transition Year students.

Our local community also provides our students with ample work placement opportunities which is an integral part of the Transition Year Programme. And for this we are extremely grateful.

Our TY sports department utilises the wonderful sporting opportunities established in our community such as Tennis, Swimming and Horse Riding.

Our Music and Religion Departments have built strong ties over the years with our local nursing homes and Alzheimer unit too when our Transition Year students visit, gift and entertain the elderly at Christmas time.
