A Digital Learning Framework for Post Primary Schools was rolled out to all schools in September 2018.
This new framework "provides a common reference with descriptors of digital competence for teachers and school leaders promoting innovative pedagogical approaches which embed the use of digital technologies."
In practice the framework in this school will support high quality education mediated by digital technologies promoting active learner participation and engagement in a wide range of learning activities.
In Mount St. Michael to embed ditigal technologies in teaching and learning we have two fully equipped computer laboratories, a mobile bank of ipads and students are allowed to use personal peripheral devices under the supervision of a teacher.
We also aim to embed digital literacy and technologies in our practice through inclusion of this framework in our School Improvement Plan (SIP)
