It was with great sadness that on the morning of Saturday December 9th, the community of Mount St. Michael heard of the sad loss of our treasured colleague and friend. Frances Lyons taught Ag. Science, Chemistry and Maths in Mount St Michael from 1993 to 2023. She was a well respected and valued member of staff. Her passion and commitment to her students was clear to see, especially in her role as Year Head of Second Year.
She was a warm, patient, kind and supportive teacher, who knew her students and subjects equally well. She had a positive influence on the lives of so many students and many attribute the success they have experienced in their careers to her guidance and teaching. Her quick wit and pearls of wisdom will be sorely missed among the staff and students in Mount St Michael.
