Mount St. Michael is a Catholic Voluntary Secondary School in the CEIST family inspired by the ethos and values of our founders, The Sisters of Mercy.
Over the past school year a representative group of students, teachers, parents, and Board of Management members have had conversations about what it means to be a catholic school in the Mercy tradition. Following from this, fifth year students researched the story of Catherine McAuley, the foundress of the Mercy order, and they explored the meaning of the crest worn every day by all students in the school. The fifth years then worked with junior classes and presented the Mercy story to them using a variety of creative approaches.

The process will continue this year introducing more students to our founding story and as a school community we will continue to explore how the vision of Catherine McAuley, a vision of compassion, loyalty, justice, mutual respect, responsibility and integrity can shape the lives of all in Mount St Michael.
