Special Educational Needs
Special Educational Needs
In line with Mount St. Michael's Mission Statement, we endeavour to develop and nurture each member of our school community, including those students with special educational needs. A special educational need is defined as a restriction in the capacity of a person, to participate in and benefit from education, on account of an enduring physical, sensory, mental health or learning disability or any other condition which will result in a person learning differently from a person without that condition.
Mount St. Michael's learning support team endeavour to provide the necessary support for students with special educational needs through work with individual students and work with small groups, tailored to meet the needs of these students.
There is regular contact with parents to discuss students' needs and progress. |
